How a Moldovan IBAN is built
Twenty-four characters, in the same order at every bank in Moldova.
The account number a bank issues is shorter than eighteen characters and is left-padded with zeros. An account of 222400000001 becomes 000000222400000001.
The ten bank codes
The two characters after the check digits. They cannot be derived from the SWIFT code: Moldindconbank is MOLDMD2X but ML, and MO belongs to OTP Bank.
