Register a company in Moldova, online

You complete the application here, in six steps: check the name, choose the legal form and CAEM activities, add the founders and a package. A specialist then calls you about the remaining details and files the paperwork. Registration takes about three working days.

  1. Check the company name

    To fill in

We check whether the name you want is free in the State Register.

  2. Choose the legal form

SRL, sole trader, freelancer or joint-stock — each with its own capital, liability and tax regime.

Unlocks once you complete the previous step.

  3. Choose the CAEM activities

The principal activity and any secondary ones the company will trade under.

  4. Add the founders

The people or companies that own the business, and who will administer it.

  5. Choose the package

A ready-made package, or the individual services you pick.

  6. Upload the documents

The documents needed for filing, based on the legal form and the founders.

A specialist walks you through this step by phone after you submit the application.

The price depends on the legal form, the number of founders and the services you choose. You see it calculated at step 5, before you send the request.

What you need to start

You do not need to upload any document to fill in the form. You only need:

  • a company name you want (ideally 2–3 variants)
  • the full name and citizenship of each founder
  • a decision on who will be the administrator
  • an email address or phone number we can reach you on

Are you a non-resident?

Registration is usually handled by notarised power of attorney, apostilled in your country and accompanied by a certified Romanian translation, without you travelling — though it depends on the case. Opening the company bank account is different: the founder has to be in Moldova in person for it. Select your citizenship at step 4 and you will get the exact document list for your situation.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to register a company in Moldova?
About three working days from the moment a complete file is submitted to the state authorities. The name check and document preparation happen before that and usually take a day.
How much does it cost to open an SRL?
From 2,000 MDL for the basic package, at a fixed price. The final cost depends on the number of founders and administrators and on any extra services, such as a registered office or accounting.
What is the minimum share capital?
For an SRL, share capital starts from 100 MDL. For a joint-stock company the threshold is considerably higher, and the exact amount is agreed with your specialist.
Can I register a company if I am not a Moldovan citizen?
Yes. A foreign national can be both founder and administrator of a Moldovan company. Registration is usually handled by apostilled power of attorney without travelling, though it depends on the case. Opening the company bank account does require the founder to be there in person.
Do I need to know my CAEM codes before starting?
No. The activities step is optional. If you are unsure which codes apply, you can carry on and we will choose them together on the call, before filing.
What happens after I send the request?
You immediately receive a request number and an access code for checking your file status and uploading documents. A specialist contacts you about share capital, the registered office and the administrator.
